VfB Stuttgart without a chance
Sniper Szoboszlai leads Leipzig to victory
RB Leipzig found the right answer to the setback at the start of the season – to the chagrin of VfB Stuttgart. The Swabians get under the wheels away from home. Part of the responsibility for this is the Hungarian Szoboszlai, who has put together a double pack that is well worth seeing.
Football runner-up RB Leipzig has nipped any fear of the Bundesliga false start in the bud thanks to two dream goals by Zauberfuß Dominik Szoboszlai. Also because of a double by the playmaker (38th / 52nd), the stormy Saxons won 4-0 (1-0) against VfB Stuttgart. With the first league success under new coach Jesse Marsch, RB eradicated the surprising 0-1 opening defeat at 1. FSV Mainz 05 last weekend.
Szoboszlai, who came from Red Bull Salzburg in the winter for € 20 million, made his starting line-up debut to take a lead and later increased it with a directly converted free kick. Forsberg completed an outstanding attack on Nkunku and Silva, in which the Portuguese put a hoe on the Swede. But Leipzig’s hunger for goals was by no means satisfied. Szoboszlai looked a bit surprised himself when his free-kick from the left half-field, probably intended as a cross, sailed past friends and foe into the goal. Silva’s first league hit in the Leipzig dress followed shortly afterwards.
