Vice Versa 2 trailer: discover Anxiety, the new emotion of the Pixar sequel

Discover the first images rich in emotion from this follow-up event. “Vice Versa 2” from Pixar Studios will be released in theaters on June 19, 2024.

It’s the big return of Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness! 9 years after the release of the gem Vice Versa, our famous emotions will integrate new characters into their colorful club, including Anxiety, of which here are the first images.

In Vice Versa 2, directed by Kelsey Mann, young Riley is now a newly graduated teenager. Which is not without triggering a major upheaval within the headquarters which must face something unexpected: the arrival of new emotions!

Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust – which have worked successfully for a long time – don’t really know how to react when Anxiety arrives. And it seems she’s not the only one…

The director confides in the film’s press release: “Even though she’s new to the team, Anxiety isn’t one to stay behind. It even makes complete sense when you think about everything that can happen in our minds as teenagers.”

Written by Meg LeFauve, co-writer of the first film alongside Pete Docter, now artistic director of Pixar, the feature film focuses on the difficult transition to adolescence and the arrival of completely new emotions that are sometimes complicated to master, such as anxiety, doubt, embarrassment, love…

4 new emotions should also arrive within Headquarters if we are to believe the characters that we can see on the film poster, revealed below.

Maya Hawke lends her voice to the newcomer while Amy Poehler, Diane Lane, Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black reprise their roles in the original version of the animated feature film announced in our theaters on June 19, 2024.

It is still unknown whether Pierre Niney, Mélanie Laurent, Marilou Berry, Charlotte Le Bon and Gilles Lellouche will return for the French version.

Released in 2015, Vice Versa by Pete Docter and Ronaldo Del Carmen was a critical (4.7/5 stars) and public success (rated 4.3/5 by AlloCiné spectators). It brought 4.5 million spectators to French theaters and collected $857 million at the worldwide box office.
