Victim attacked – police dog found robber duo with drugs in their luggage

The escape lasted only a short time for two young Austrians who attacked a 19-year-old in Innsbruck on Monday night and stole his wallet. The police also found illegal substances on one of the two suspects.

The robbery happened on Monday night shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Eduard-Wallnöfer-Platz in Innsbruck. According to the police, two initially unknown perpetrators stole the money bag from a 19-year-old Austrian’s jacket and used it to flee. The robber followed the robbers and tried to get his wallet back. But according to police, the two perpetrators attacked the 19-year-old and were able to escape with the loot. Drugs found, no stolen goodsThe police launched a manhunt. With the help of a sniffer dog, the suspected perpetrators were arrested less than half an hour later. They are two locals, also 19 years old. Investigators found 43 grams of cannabis herb on one of the two young men. The allegedly stolen wallet, however, did not appear.
