Victoria 3: half a million sales and other big numbers

19 years after the first part and 12 years after the second, Victoria 3 landed on computers last October. The title of grand strategy and management of Paradox Interactive was obviously expected by a whole community of enthusiasts, and they were there, the studio takes stock with some figures.

Victoria 3 has already sold more than 500,000 copies since its release on October 25, a very nice sales figure for a game of its kind. The developers reveal other data:

  • 500,000 copies sold with 14,623,631 total hours of play, or 1,669 years of play time;
  • 187 million technologies researched;
  • 380,335 new countries created;
  • 126,263 Suez Canals built;
  • 39,982 Eiffel Towers built;
  • Germany was unified 98,082 times;
  • 18,471 Trans-Siberian Railways completed;
  • 45,614 transcontinental railways completed;
  • Prussia has turned yellow on the map 83 times.

Paradox Interactive remind you in passing that Victoria 3 is named to Game Awards 2022in the category of Best Strategy/Management Game, and invites all fans to vote for him. Martin Anward, Game Director, adds:
