Victoria Beckham + Co.: These luxury collections from the stars are iconic

They are beautiful, rich and, at first glance, own everything. But stars like Victoria Beckham, singer Drake and Leonardo DiCaprio have something else in common: a particularly expensive passion for collecting. The stars have these luxury goods in multiple versions.

Singer Drake collects Birkin bags

Only women collect bags? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! Drake, 36, not only has a nose for the music business, but also has a good feel for high-quality accessories. In recent years, the 36-year-old is said to have developed a real passion for collecting the “Birkin Bag”, one of the most famous handbags from Hermès. Unusual? The reason is even more so. Because the singer should not collect the models for his own use, but for his future wife. In a 2017 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Canadian said: “That was one of the things I started collecting. I think also for the woman I will one day spend my life with. At some point in my life I have “to offer someone a fairly large collection of Birkins”.

He learned at a young age that the “Birkin Bag” is a bag of special value. A friend of his mother gave him a taste for it. “My mother’s best friend collected the bags, and when I was young I understood in some ways their value. There are very few things in the world, material things anyway, that have their value and how they are valued over the course of time can last for years,” says Drake. At a concert in Los Angeles in August 2023, he even gave away a pink Birkin bag to a female fan in the front row.

Victoria Beckham owns $45 million art collection

David, 47, and Victoria Beckham, 48, could probably buy anything with their shared private assets, but their choice is art. Victoria in particular has been a fan of modern art for almost 20 years. Their private collection, which is said to be divided between three of the Beckhams’ houses, is also said to contain very expensive and globally sought-after pieces by artists such as Banksy, Damien Hirst and Sam Taylor Wood. The ex-Spice Girl seems to particularly admire modern art. Her exquisite collection is now said to be worth more than $45 million. The works of art, which the 48-year-old did not buy herself, are said to be gifts from her husband David. “Victoria loves being surprised at Christmas or her birthday,” he shared in an interview with People.

Orlando Bloom has a passion for expensive watches

The cliché goes: What shoes are for women, watches are for men. Orlando Bloom, 45, probably won’t disagree with that. In Hollywood he is considered a watch connoisseur and lover of old vintage classics. Not surprisingly, experts estimate that his watch collection is worth almost two million dollars. These are said to include six vintage Rolex wristwatches such as the James Bond model Submariner or the Explorer II, which actor Steve McQueen used to wear. The highlight of his collection is the Rolex Milgauss 6543, which was auctioned in a similar version at Christie’s auction house in 2016 for around 160,000 euros.

After Bloom had these and a few other pieces stolen in 2009 by the famous “Bling Ring”, a group of upper-class Hollywood kids who broke into several star mansions between 2008 and 2008, the “Lord of the Rings” star is said to have stolen them have an extra safe for his timepieces.

Vintage and luxury cars: Nicolas Cage owns a considerable fleet of vehicles

In his film “Only 60 Seconds” Nicolas Cage, 59, made the tires smoke. Even in real life, the actor can’t get enough of cars: he is said to have bought 22 of them in one year. A few examples of his cars: Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari California 250 Spyder and Jaguar D-Type. In total, the actor is said to have owned around 25 cars worth a total of $40 million before selling some of them.

Leonardo DiCaprio has paintings worth millions of dollars at home

Many stars invest their earned millions mainly in cars and houses. Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, has a more sophisticated source of investment – by no means a cheaper one. The “Titanic” star collects exclusive works of art and spends a lot on them. In 2011, he spent a mere $1.2 million (around 800,000 euros) on an original painting by the Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali at an auction at Christie’s in New York. Also paintings by Picasso and Frank Stella is in his possession. There are also numerous works by modern and contemporary artists.
