Victoria Swarovski liked the “Traumschiff” filming so much that she now even dreams of a role as a Bond girl.

Born in Tyrol, Victoria Swarovski (27) can be seen in “Traumschiff: Malediven / Thaa Atoll” on Easter Sunday (April 4th, 8:15 pm, ZDF) as the charming and happy dance teacher Mia in her “first major” acting role. In an interview with spot on news, Swarovski reveals what the filming was like in the “paradisiacal” Maldives – and in front of the green screen – how it was received by the regular cast and who from their families will be watching the broadcast.

How was the shooting?

Victoria Swarovski: The shooting itself was super nice and also exciting because it was something completely new for me. Of course, it was also a highlight to shoot in such a beautiful place as the Maldives, because it could definitely be worse.

What was different than expected?

Swarovski: Among other things, we shot at two different locations due to Corona. On the one hand, the land part in the Maldives. The part of the ship on the MS Amadea, which was currently in the dock in Emden. There partly in front of a green screen, so that the different parts could be assembled in post-production at the end.

So the fear of getting seasick wasn’t an issue?

Swarovski: After we shot in the dock, that is, in the harbor, that wasn’t an issue. Basically, however, I am seaworthy. I’m a water mermaid and can cope with the wobbling on boats without feeling sick.

What will you never forget?

Swarovski: Phew, difficult question, there are so many individual beautiful moments. In the end, I will always remember my first big shoot as an actress. I am very proud to have been a part of this production and I am really looking forward to seeing the result with my loved ones on Easter Sunday. Very exciting.

How was the shooting under Corona conditions?

Swarovski: We have been tested regularly and have otherwise consistently adhered to the rules of distance and hygiene. For the dance scenes, everyone involved even went into quarantine again to be on the safe side. Thank goodness nobody got infected. With such a large production, that would of course be a big problem.

Kiss scenes are also a particular challenge because of Corona. How was that with you?

Swarovski: We have solved that very ingeniously, but let us surprise you.

How was the permanent “dream ship” team to the newcomers?

Swarovski: We got on well from the start and the chemistry was just right.

Have you been to the Maldives before? If so, what new things did you discover during the shooting?

Swarovski: Yes, I have been to the Maldives before and I will definitely go there again. What can I say, the islands are a paradise on earth, it couldn’t be more beautiful. It looks like a postcard: turquoise blue sea, white sandy beaches, palm trees everywhere and probably the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I am a fan!

How difficult was it to keep your “dream ship” commitment a secret?

Swarovski: It worked. When we were in the Maldives, I wasn’t allowed to show anything from the shooting. It was hard at times because some people thought I went there to go on vacation. However, a few media outlets put one and one together quite early on, and it wasn’t a secret for a really long time.

How did your family react to your “dream ship” commitment? Is there a special fan?

Swarovski: My grandmother is a big “dream ship” fan and was therefore delighted when I told her about it. I’m really excited to see what she will say after seeing the film on Easter. The rest of my family is of course very happy too. My stepfather, for example, always said that I would be a great actress for him – let’s see if he’ll still be convinced of it after Easter (laughs).

Could acting continue?

Swarovski: If I have my way, definitely. I’ve tasted blood and I’m convinced this won’t be my last film. For my next role I would like something with more action, for example a heist movie or a Bond girl I could well imagine (laughs).
