Victoriam: Corona charity song lands unexpected success

Nobody expected this success: The corona charity song "Victoriam" stormed the charts. Just a few hours after its release on Good Friday (April 10), the song for # CoronaCare Initiative climbed to number one on the iTunes charts (currently number two). Later, the feat was also successful in the Amazon music charts and "Victoriam" currently also leads the "Google play" music charts – ahead of R'n'B superstar The Weeknd (30, "Blinding Lights").

Revenue benefits the bars

"Victoriam" is the song of the "#CoronaCare: Germany helps itself" initiative from BurdaForward, which also includes the news website Focus Online. In doing so, helpers and those seeking help should be networked. All of the proceeds from sales go to the food banks in Germany, which supply more than 1.6 million socially and economically disadvantaged people across the country.

Especially in the difficult times of the corona pandemic, many boards have to deal with extreme problems. Because many of the volunteers are 65 or older and therefore belong to the risk group that is particularly at risk of infection. 370 of the more than 940 tablets in Germany had to be closed. Here the makers want to jump in and help.

"We stick together"

"Victoriam" is the first single release from the album "Sinfoglesia" by the Cologne composer and producer Christoph Siemons (51). Over 100 musicians and singers have participated. The main message of the song: "We stick together" and nobody is left alone.
