Double shooter Serra shoots Bielefeld out of the crisis

After three previous defeats and the 0:6 debacle in the cup at VfB Stuttgart, Arminia is finally on the up again in the 2nd Bundesliga: Towards the end of the game, substitute Serra scored two goals. Now opponent St. Pauli is stuck in the middle of the table.
Thanks to Janni Serra, who scored twice, Arminia Bielefeld has taken a first step out of the sporting crisis and ended FC St. Pauli’s slight upward trend. Substitute Serra (76th minute/84th) scored both goals for Arminia in the 2-0 (0-0) win in the evening, which has left the last place in the 2nd Bundesliga table for the time being. After three league defeats and the 6-0 debacle in the cup at VfB Stuttgart, coach Daniel Scherning’s team showed the hoped-for reaction. St. Pauli, on the other hand, is still stuck in the middle of the table after the strong cup game at SC Freiburg and the derby win against HSV.
The big winner of the 13th matchday in the 2nd Bundesliga could be Hamburger SV: One day after leaders SV Darmstadt 98 lost 1-1 against Holstein Kiel, the closest pursuer SC Paderborn also lost two important points in the promotion race. The East Westphalians had to settle for a goalless draw in Saturday’s away game at newly promoted Eintracht Braunschweig and now remain second in the table on 26 points behind Darmstadt (28). Due to the mistakes made by Paderborn and Darmstadt, HSV has the chance to regain the top of the table with a big win against 1. FC Magdeburg on Sunday (1.30 p.m. / Sky). In addition, at the end of the 13th matchday, Karlsruher SC and Fortuna Düsseldorf as well as 1. FC Heidenheim and SpVgg Greuther Fürth face each other. At the start on Friday, promoted 1. FC Kaiserslautern celebrated their fourth away win in a 2-0 (0-0) win at Hansa Rostock, in which goal scorer Terrence Boyd played a major role with a brace (67th and 82nd minute).
