Childbirth is a supposedly intimate moment for a mother, but for Denise Fabre, a well-known former TV presenter, this intimacy was abruptly interrupted by a surreal experience that she still remembers with a touch of bitterness. Guest on the show C to you this Tuesday March 12, the one who also had a political career revealed an unconventional episode in her life: the day she was filmed in the maternity ward by TF1, just after giving birth to her two daughters, Élodie and Olivia. “I had just given birth the same morning, by cesarean section, which we are still not in a great state… He sends me a makeup artist, a hairdresser, he calls me and says ‘you have to do this, it’s ‘is for the channel, for TF1, you can’t do that to us, you have to do it Denise!'”she explained, visibly still upset by this memory.
The “he” that Denise Fabre speaks of is none other than Yves Mourousi, former journalist and presenter of TF1 who died in 1998, who, according to her, asked her to stage herself just after giving birth. “I can’t tell you how I felt! And I had my doctor who was there and who told me ‘you’re going to pay dearly!'”, she added, evoking the disarray in which she found herself. This moment, as improbable as it may seem, left deep marks on Denise Fabre, even forgetting the first name of one of her daughters, Élodie, at the time. An oversight that she still regrets today, as evidenced by her remorseful words: “I’m sorry, my darling little Élodie…”

Denise Fabre and Francis Vandenhende: forty-five years of love
Beyond being a mother, Denise Fabre is also a woman madly in love with her husband. In an interview given to Pocket TV in February 2024, the former presenter of Télévitrine, in a relationship for forty-five years with Francis Vandenhende confided that “the longevity of couples is a family affair” on the side of her husband, whose parents “celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary”. The couple thus succeeded in building a solid family, crowned by the birth of their twin daughters, of whom they are “very proud”.
