Eva Green: her intensive training for fight scenes

To fit perfectly into Milady’s skin and wield the sword brilliantly, Eva Green increased her training hours. Indeed, the one who has a twin sister took fencing and aikido lessons, as Nathalie Levy recalled. An experience which was a real challenge for the actress. I love everything physical because it’s true, I’m quite awkward in life. It’s really a luxury, when you’re an actor, to be able to explore lots of worlds and new disciplines.”, she assured the presenter. Before continuing: I had several weeks of training. We started with aikido then with fencing. We also tried to find quite a different way for Milady to fight with two weapons with a little Asian influence.”

Sports practices which have been more than beneficial for Eva Green. “I tend to be very cerebral. Doing fencing exercises, it helped me find the inner strength of the charactervery manly.” From then on, Vincent Cassel’s sidekick is delighted to have been able to break the image of “fatal Woman” often attributed to Milady.
