Benoît Poelvoorde is, this Wednesday evening, the guest of the show En aparté on Canal +. He returns for the occasion with humor on his manic side which cools his guests, who, according to him, are far from jostling at the gate to visit him.
Starring in Edouard Baer’s latest film, Farewell Paris, Benoit Poelvoorde is currently promoting it. This Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., it is on Canal + that he will be interviewed by Nathalie Lévy in the program En Aparté. In an exclusive excerpt, the Belgian actor talks about his news and his life in general. He makes a surprising confidence about a little-known character trait who nevertheless has the gift of annoying those around him to the highest degree: “I’m manic, it’s borderline fake and it’s unpleasant for others.“
As soon as we see him entering the apartment which is the location of the show, Nathalie Lévy asks him about his mania for tidying up : “Is it tidy enough?“A cautious moment, Benoît Poelvoorde looks around him for a few seconds before declaring:”I can tell you yes, I really like the order, it’s quite tidy and what’s wonderful is that there are so many details of my work, of my work, it’s sometimes even a little scary. It’s very pretty, it’s very tidy.”
He doesn’t give his guests time to finish eating.
Nathalie Lévy then asks him to clarify a rumor about his qualities as a host: “Is it true that you have the annoying habit of clearing the table before the guests have even finished dinner ?“Benoit Poelvoorde then answers him in the affirmative:”It’s absolutely true and that’s why no one wants to eat at my house anymore. All my friends, I don’t count many, but all those who still have the courage to come to my house know it.“
