16-year-old Bryan actually loves his job in a donut chain. But one thing goes against the grain: Every evening he has to throw the leftover donuts in the trash.
An estimated 1.6 million tons of food end up in the garbage every year. "Food waste" is a global problem that is getting more and more attention. It seems absurd how much food is thrown in the trash while people are fighting hunger right next to it. Many restaurants donate leftover food to homeless associations at the end of the day – but (mainly for organizational reasons) by no means all.

Bryan therefore decides to hand out the leftover donuts on his own after his work shift. The video of it goes viral – and also reaches the company management. But despite the harsh consequences, the story surprisingly takes a positive turn.
