The Summer Game Fest giving pride of place to the video games of tomorrow is over, and it is now time to return to the present with the releases for this month of June.
The video game festival that is Summer Game Fest 2024 has now passed, with a promising video game future for the end of the year and 2025. But what about the more immediate releases in June 2024? Here is a recap, obviously with some titles that we are waiting for with the greatest impatience.
Video game releases in June 2024 marked by the return of the king
If, like us, you have been caught up in the whirlwind of announcements from the summer video game festival, a reminder about the video game releases for the month of June 2024 is not too much. After a month of May notably driven by Hellblade 2, Ghost of Tsushima PC, the early access arrivals of Hades 2 and The Rogue Prince of Persia, Paper Mario The Millennium Gate and even XDefiant, the current month’s calendar is not lacking of stocks to watch.
The one that has the most expectations is obviously The Shadow of the World Tree, the Elden Ring DLC expected on June 21 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. This new adventure for the game of the year 2022 promises to be truly crazy, and we can’t wait to cry tears of joy mixed with blood. Speaking of DLC, that of Destiny 2, The Final Form, made a notable arrival on June 4.
Other Japanese titles are also worth watching in June. We are thinking in particular of the return of Monster Hunter Stories and Wings of Ruin from Capcom, on PC, Nintendo Switch and PS4 for the first, and PS4 for the second, today, June 14. Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will also arrive on Switch on June 27. Finally, the magnificent Tchia will follow Mario’s brother on the Nintendo console, also on June 27. Another independent title deserves some attention: the superbly terrifying Still Wakes the Deep from The Chinese Room, expected June 18 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
