VIDEO – “I am obliged to rectify…”: Josiane Balasko takes up Pierre Lescure in C à vous

Earlier in the show, she had to correct Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine who had announced the wrong theater for the play A chalet in Gsaadt that Josiane Balasko and Armelle play at the Théâtre des Nouveautés. “Zézette, it was always Marie-Anne. It was a replacement for about two weeks”specifies Josiane Balasko to explain the images shown by Pierre Lescure.

In just a fortnight of performance, Josiane Balasko, however, added an element to the character of Zézette which subsequently made her successful, in theater and in the cinema. “What I brought to the character was Hood. And Marie-Anne kept it”reveals Josiane Balasko on the set of C to you. “The hood makes a really stupid face”adds the actress to justify this choice of accessory.

In this sequence, Josiane Balasko also announces that she was not to play either Zézette or Madame Musquin in the cinema version of this comedy. “I had to play Thérèse, the role of Anemone”she reveals. “Thank God I didn’t, because Anemone was great. She was really great. Which means when we wrote the film, we created this character of Madame Musquin.”
