VIDEO INTERVIEW. Christophe Dechavanne (Ice Age 6): dubbing, loss of voice … He confides

Christophe Dechavanne once again lends his voice to Crash in “Ice Age, the Adventures of Buck Wild” available from March 25, 2022 on Disney +. For Télé Star, the host confided in this experience but also on his personal journey.

Christophe Dechavanne is once again on the front of the stage, at least thanks to his character Crash. While he has been lending him his voice since 2005 for the “Ice Age” saga, he is back for part 6 entitled “Ice Age, the adventures of Buck Wild”. In this new episode, eager for independence and in search of thrills, the opossum brothers Crash and Eddie decide to look for a habitat of their own. Only here: they will quickly find themselves trapped under the ice in a huge underground cave inhabited by dinosaurs. To help them, their friend Buck Wild will team up with Zee. A real highlight that Christophe Dechavanne was delighted with. “My character is very present in this number. I usually had a small role, we saw Eddie and Crash do a few adventures. There, they almost have a main role” he told us.

Christophe Dechavanne: this little problem he encountered because of the dubbing

After more than ten years in the skin of the character, Christophe Dechavanne always arrives relaxed in the dressing rooms of dubbing. Besides, he doesn’t work on his voice. “I am not recognized, I have a particular voice (…) What is interesting and which makes me very strange is that it has been a few years since I had done it and from the first words my voice came out as before.” added Christophe Dechavanne. Nevertheless, his lack of work earned him a small extinction of voice. “There are evenings when I came home and I didn’t speak to my family until the next day (…) In the evening I wrote words to my wife” concluded the host. Find all his secrets in our interview above. And go to Disney + to discover “Ice Age, the adventures of Buck Wild”.
