VIDEO – Marion Maréchal, mother of two children and politician: “I didn’t choose the easy way”

Wednesday May 22, Cyril Hanouna received Marion Maréchal on the set of his show Do not touch My TV, broadcast on C8. The executive vice-president of Reconquête, who is a candidate in the European elections next June, spoke about her family life and the organization necessary to achieve her ambitions in politics. Mother of two little girls aged 9 and 2 (her eldest, named Olympe, was born from her union with her ex-husband Matthieu Decosse and her youngest, Clotilde, is the fruit of her love for her husband Vincenzo Sofo), she recognized not “not having chosen the easy way”.

It must be said that her current companion and father of her second daughter is “candidate for the European elections in Italy, because he is Italian. The latter has in fact been a Member of the European Parliament since 2020 wearing the colors of the far right. “We didn’t make it easy for ourselves, but we manage,” summarized Marion Maréchal by explaining that “That’s the point” to obtain two seats in the European Parliament for “trying to change Europe together” For “reconstructing the Latin empire”. Even if her husband Vincenzo Sofo is not French, the couple currently lives in France and the 37-year-old MP therefore has no other choice but to “go back and forth” for his career and his family.

A career pursued for the future of his daughters?

In love with her Italian since 2016, Marion Maréchal did not fail to make a statement to him on her Instagram account on March 14. She had shared a video of the latter kissing her in public, during the launch of the Reconquest campaign for the European elections, organized at the Dôme in Paris four days earlier. “Thank you for being by my side”, she captioned it in French, adding a heart emoji. As for her life as a mother, the 34-year-old politician never misses the opportunity to talk about it during her interviews. In front of the media camera Boulevard Voltaire, on March 8, Marine Le Pen’s niece spoke about the impact of her profession on her family, explaining that she apologized to her two children for devoting herself to her profession, but that she considered that this time was “spent for them, to offer them a better future”.
