The scene took place behind the scenes of the enclosure on the sidelines of a boxing match between Kell Brool and Amir Khan. In a video, posted on social networks, the England international, somewhat annoyed, seems to be returning to a private room with his partner Rebecca Cooke.
While several people are waiting outside the door of this room, Phil Foden’s mother came out a few moments later, very upset. After dropping insults, she physically attacked one of the men, who allegedly insulted her son, by shoving him. This blow triggered a general fight involving a dozen people. Phil Foden is notably seen defending his mother before disappearing. A man, who could be part of Foden’s security service, grabbed a fire extinguisher to try to hit one of the attackers.

“The club are aware of a video that has circulated on social media showing Phil Foden and his family being harassed and abused. We are shocked and appalled by the nature of the subsequent abuse and assault against one of Phil’s family members. We will continue to give Phil and his family all the support and assistance they need,” Manchester City told Sky Sports.
