The 53-year-old comedian opened up about a painful chapter in his life: the death of his sister, who died of cancer at the age of seven, when he was only four. “I remember the scene of our parents coming home and saying ‘Sophie is gone’, so it’s an earthquake, our whole life is turned upside down, transformed,” he confided.
Beyond the pain, it is a message of hope and solidarity that the comedian wishes to convey. Committed to the Léo association, which supports children with cancer and their families, Philippe Caverivière puts his notoriety at the service of a cause that is dear to him. “Sometimes life has a boomerang effect, today I have the chance to be a sponsor of this association”, underlined the one who also lost his mother to cancer.
