the teasing about MG’s electric roadster, dubbed Cyberster, started almost 18 months ago. Since then, we have learned that it should be presented in 2023 to be marketed in 2024, but that does not prevent the manufacturer from continuing to highlight its trendy convertible.

Considering that we are about a year away from the official presentation of the MG Cyberster, it is highly likely that the design will be fully finalized. The exterior was partially revealed using renders of the concept car it derives from, but today we learn a bit more about the interior and exterior, thanks to this video uploaded to the account Manufacturer’s Twitter.

First of all, let’s go back to the exterior: as expected, it’s a convertible coupé, with a hard-top that folds down automatically to roll in the wind. Aggressive lines highlight this sports car which should offer up to 800 kilometers of range.

The opening of the doors, meanwhile, is indeed a nod to the most iconic supercars, since it will be scissor doors, like Lamborghinis or other McLarens. It therefore seems that MG arrives among the first on the segment of electric roadsters, since that of Tesla still does not point the end of its hood, and that of Polestar is not officially confirmed.

The more attentive among you may have noticed the shape of the steering wheel at 20 seconds in the video, which seems to be a yoke, like what Tesla offers on its latest Model S and Model X. No doubt that MG has done a good job of teasing this steering wheel which does not go unnoticed. Let’s hope that the revelations continue on this Cyberster which seems very promising.
