VIDEO – Star Academy students at the Elysée, Éric Naulleau outraged: “It’s decadence”

This Wednesday, December 13 afternoon, the eight candidates of the Star Academy, still in the program, notably Pierre, Lénie, Julien and Candice, went to the Élysée. Young talents thus had the opportunity to sing on the occasion of children’s Christmas tree (traditional tea party organized by Emmanuel Macron, but which took place this year in the latter’s absence), as reported by BFMTV. This is a first in the history of the famous TF1 telecrochet and it doesn’t seem not get everyone to agree.

In L’heure des Pros, the show broadcast on CNews in the morning, Éric Naulleau was indignant at such an opportunity offered to musical reality TV candidates. Raising his eyebrows, the 62-year-old essayist lamented: “I’ve already seen influencers rolling around on the lawn of the Élysée and now it’s star Academy who lights the tree…” Pascal Praud, obviously no more shocked than that, tried to reason with him: “It’s young people…” Not enough to convince Eric Zemmour’s former acolyte, who compared this to “decadence”. “I think there is a little principle of verticality… I told you that I was a left-wing reactionary!”, regretted the chronicler, estimating that “it’s a mix of genres” that he “do not understand”.

Of the “representatives of excellence” more in their place at the Élysée?

Éric Naulleau would have indeed preferred to see “representatives of excellence, first prizes in competitions” light the famous Christmas tree at the Élysée. “Why is this [les candidats de] there star Academy ? Do you find that normal ? Not me !” he blurted out, annoyed. Pascal Praud quickly tried to eclipse the improvised debate of his columnist, which was probably not relevant in his eyes. In any case, the young talents of the TF1 show will probably remember their exceptional invitation for a long time. A video of their arrival on site was notably revealed on social networks. We see them intimidated, while Brigitte Macron try to put them at ease by paying them a little visit places.
