Video: the incredible madness after two successful “holes in one” during a golf tournament

Scenes of surreal jubilation. Considered one of the craziest tournaments on the PGA Tour, the Phoenix Open was organized this weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona (United States). And its mythical hole n°16, surrounded by stands, was the scene of indescribable scenes after the performance of two golfers who hit the hole in one shot.

The atmosphere was worthy of a football match. But with nearly 16,000 spectators gathered in the bays, it could not be otherwise. And madness took hold of these overexcited golf fans when the American Sam Ryder then the Mexican Carlos Ortiz realized in turn the “hole in one”.

Ryder was the first to achieve this feat and sparked hysteria in the stands. As soon as his ball fell into the hole, the spectators let their joy explode, some going so far as to throw their glass filled with beer into the air.

The same scenes repeated themselves when Ortiz in turn put his ball in the hole in one shot. They caused up to 15 minutes of interruption before the game could resume.

At the end of this completely crazy weekend, the American Scottie Scheffler won, beating his compatriot Patrick Cantlay (world No. 4) in the playoff to win his first tournament counting for the North American PGA Tour.
