VIDEO “What you are misogynistic”: an investor very upset by certain remarks on the set of Who wants to be my associate

M6 presents season 2 of Who wants to be my partner this Wednesday, December 5, 2022. And while two candidates had come to present their dishwasher which wants to be revolutionary, the comment of Marc Simoncini towards Delphine André did not please the investor much.

It’s the big comeback of Who wants to be my partner on M6 this Wednesday December 5, 2022, the program where candidates come to present their project in the hope that experienced investors join the adventure with them. And as for the first season, viewers reunited with Delphine André (director of GCA), Eric Larchevêque (founder of Ledger) and Marc Simoncini (founder of Angell). On the set, there were also four new investors: Sophie Mechaly (founder of Paul & Joe), Isabelle Weill (founder of IWCORP), Jean-Pierre Nadir (founder of fairmoove.fr), as well as Anthony Bourbon (founder of Feed ).

Among the first candidates to run, Damian Py and Antoine Fichet. The two young men came to present their mini dishwasher Bob, with the aim of raising 500,000 euros against 5% of the capital of their company. And when investors discovered the product, Marc Simoncini made a remark that upset Delphine André.: “I’m telling you it’s a thing for Delphine. I don’t know I feel a ‘vibes'”, he said, to which the businesswoman replied: How misogynistic you are is incredible“.

“Is that a joke?”

And if the juror was annoyed by this remark, it was nothing compared to the performance of two candidates. Indeed, while Damian Py and Antoine Fichet were already procrastinating in front of investors’ proposals, the two young men decided to go even further: in addition to continuing to produce and develop their dishwashers, the young entrepreneurs suddenly offered to help an investor … Create their own crypto-currency. “Is this a joke? “, responded Eric Larchevêque. “You are completely nuts. In fact, have you taken any drugs? “, for his part reacts Marc Simoncini. “The cryptocurrency thing, for me, in their place is deal breaker (something that breaks the deal). You do dishwashers and there you ask for a cryptocurrency, I blow the deal immediately“, then got annoyed Anthony Bourbon. But in the end, the two entrepreneurs managed to get a deal: 1.5 million euros in funds raised for 21% of their company (and 2% of BSPCE, business creator share subscription warrants for Eric Larchevêque) . This affair therefore ended better than it started.
