In any case, the hoteliers can celebrate the abolition of the 2G rule. For the time being, however, the economy is “not over the mountain yet, we still have a few challenges to work through, we shouldn’t tick them off yet,” says Walter Veit, President of the Hoteliers’ Association. He assumes that those hotels that had previously opted for 2G will stick with it until March 5th. After that, the 2G rule could become a market niche for some companies, “for which there will continue to be demand.”
