Today, Andreas Schager has established himself as a leading heroic tenor and works at the major houses and festivals worldwide: from the New York Metropolitan Opera to the Milan Scala to the Bayreuth Festival. His most recent operatic highlights include “Fidelio”, “Tristan und Isolde”, “Parsifal”, “Siegfried” and “Götterdämmerung”. At the Vienna State Opera he sang Apollo (“Daphne”), Lohengrin, Tamino, Kaiser (“Die Frau ohne Schatten”) and Max (“Der Freischütz”), among others.
