ViewSonic ColorPro VP16-Oled: a small, affordable 16-inch Oled monitor

ViewSonic has just unveiled its first Oled monitor: the ColorPro VP16-Oled. This is a portable model equipped with a 16.5-inch OLED panel displaying a Full HD definition of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Like all OLED screens on the market, each pixel emits its own light and the contrast is therefore considered infinite. It also offers very wide viewing angles, more than any LCD monitor, and also a 0.1ms response time again unmatched by LCD models.

Pantone and Calibrite certified, the monitor displays a delta E of less than 2, which should result on the screen in colors faithful to those sent by the source and 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. ViewSonic announces a maximum brightness of 400 cd / m2 while the refresh rate is limited to 60 Hz.

The connection consists of two USB-C ports, a Mini-HDMI input and a headphone output. The monitor comes with a kickstand that also converts to a height-adjustable stand. There are only a few photos of this system and it will be interesting to see how this foot/kickstand works. A cover is also included to protect the slab during transport. Finally, the screen weighs 990 grams.

The ViewSonic ColorPro VP16-Oled portable monitor will be available sometime in November for a price of around $400, or probably €450 in France.
