WHAT IS IT ABOUT ?

The incredible true story of the massive global effort to save a young Thai football team, who became trapped in Tham Luang cave due to a rainstorm.

Faced with insurmountable odds, a team of some of the most skilled and experienced divers in the world – able to navigate the maze of narrow, flooded tunnels – join forces with Thai forces and more than 10,000 volunteers to try to save the twelve boys and their trainer.

With the stakes impossibly high and the eyes of the world on them, the group embarks on the toughest dive in its history, demonstrating the limitless aspect of the human spirit.

VIGGO MORTENSEN AND COLIN FARRELL IN THE HEART OF THE ACTION

Available from August 5, 2022 on Prime Video, Thirteen Lives immerses us in this story that marked the whole world in 2018, that of the rescue of 12 boys stuck in the Tham Luang cave in Thailand. Led by an international team and relayed by many media and personalities, what is considered to be one of the most ambitious rescues is this year reconstructed through the camera of Ron Howard.

Experienced in the exercise of disaster films, the one to whom we owe Apollo 13 and Backdraft gives birth to a feature film as immersive as it is effective, counting on actors up to the challenge. At the top of the poster, Viggo Mortensen and Colin Farrell play two of the mission’s rescuers.

If they have already deployed the extent of their talents on many occasions on the big screen, the actors here have worked long hours with the real divers of the mission to achieve the best diving scenes. And the least we can say is that the result is there, as evidenced by the trailer which has something to impress. A breathtaking film, to discover on Prime Video.
