The "Vikings" sequel "Valhalla" announced in 2019 is taking shape. Netflix has now confirmed part of the cast.

More than a year ago, Netflix announced a new series entitled "Vikings: Valhalla". Now the streaming service has finally announced the first members of the cast. The sequel takes place 100 years after the events of the popular original series "Vikings". Some legendary Vikings are at the center of "Valhalla".

Who is in it?

The actor Sam Corlett, also known from the in-house production "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina", will play Leif Eriksson. Frida Gustavsson (27) becomes Freydis Eriksdotter, Harald Sigurdsson is played by Leo Suter (27), Bradley Freegard (38) plays Knut the great and Johannes Johannesson (41) plays Olav Haraldsson. Laura Berlin (31) can be seen in the role of Emma von der Normandie, David Oakes (37) plays Godwin from Wessex and Caroline Henderson (58) becomes Jarl Haakon while Pollyanna McIntosh (41) gives Queen Aelfgifu and Asbjorn Krogh gives nits (39) the Jarl Kare.

Jeb Stuart (65) acts as the showrunner and one of the scriptwriters, Niels Arden Oplev (59), will direct the first of an expected eight episodes. Other directors in the first season will be Stephen St. Leger and Hannah Quinn. It is currently unknown when exactly the series will be shown.
