It is a planned attack and escape that the Vincennes administrative detention center has just avoided. This Sunday evening, on New Year’s Eve, 12 members of the ultra-left were arrested near the site, as they prepared to attack the center to try to free people held inside.

The project was ultimately foiled. Sunday evening, the Vincennes Administrative Detention Center (CRA) was targeted by members of the ultra-left. The latter wanted to allow the escape of several foreigners held inside the building. At the origin of the project: twelve people from the radical left, of whom, according to information from Europe 1, one of them, of Italian origin and at the origin of the project, is listed as S. The other 11 people are not known to the courts.

A place under close surveillance

All were arrested near the CRA on New Year’s Eve. They were spotted by police as they walked towards the building with their faces covered. A van was also found near the suspects. Inside, the police found bags containing materials for making molotov cocktails. The 12 individuals were taken into police custody.

The Vincennes Administrative Retention Center has been particularly monitored recently, particularly since the escape of 11 people in an irregular situation on Christmas Day. They are still wanted at this time.
