Vincent Lindon for Another World: “Every time I go to AlloCiné, something happens.”

Vincent Lindon talks about his long collaboration with Stéphane Brizé, whom he finds again for a 5th feature film, Another world. This film closes a trilogy on the world of work, begun with The Law of the Market and At War. Encounter.

I say this in front of the camera because every time I go to AlloCiné, something happens, and I like that. I would like the first question, everything that just happened there, from beginning to end, to be on the screen, because it launches well and it’s very pleasant“.

Met for the promotion of Another world, Vincent Lindon granted us an intense interview, for which we therefore respected his request for the editing: that of keeping our introductory remarks.

In this interview, it is a question of his long collaboration with the director Stéphane Brizé (5th collaboration with this filmmaker, and the end of a trilogy on the world of work), and of the current resonance, that of the “world after “, which can be found in Another World.

Another World is a dive into the corporate world. We follow a business executive, his wife, his family, at a time when the professional choices of one are changing the lives of all. Philippe Lemesle (Vincent Lindon) and his wife (Sandrine Kiberlain) separate, a love damaged by the pressure of work. A successful executive in an industrial group, Philippe no longer knows how to respond to the incoherent injunctions of his management. We wanted him to be a leader yesterday, we want him to be a performer today. He is at the moment when he has to decide on the meaning of his life.

Another world is currently in theaters.

At the end of the interview, Vincent Lindon wanted to talk about the issue of promotion, which we know is close to his heart. The actor is rather rare in interviews, but always generous and involved in the exchanges. Vincent Lindon has a special history with AlloCiné and has strong memories of his few meetings and exchanges with us. Exchange that we invite you to discover in the video below
