As the summer holidays approach, Vinci Autoroutes is rolling out a network of charging stations for electric vehicles and a connected payment platform.

Drivers of electric vehicles will be able to go on vacation with peace of mind: for the months of July and August, Vinci Autoroutes plans to provide additional mobile charging stations to ensure a hassle-free journey.

An over-equipped Vinci network

Currently, the Vinci motorways have 433 charging points on their 4,443 km of road, covering 60% of the network. By 2023, Vinci plans to equip each of its motorway rest areas with a charging station. These infrastructures should facilitate the purchase of electric vehicles and convince motorists still worried about not finding anything to recharge their car during the journey.

In addition, Vinci Autoroutes is launching an advice service: 200 remote coaches will be able to advise electric motorists for 30 minutes via the Ulys Electric application. Specialists will be able to answer their questions about electric mobility and their vehicle. In addition, during the summer holidays, “electromobile spaces” will be set up to assist drivers during recharging and to streamline the use of terminals. Specialized valets will therefore be present at the Saint-Rambert d’Albon, Montélimar Est, Montélimar Ouest and Morières rest areas on the A7, as well as Vidauban Sud on the A8.

Ulys becomes a centralized payment service for drivers

In addition, the Ulys online service is evolving. As a reminder, Ulys is a service that allows you to pay the electronic toll in France, Spain, Italy and Portugal, and to pay for your parking in 500 car parks in the territory.

From now on, you will be able to subscribe to a Ulys Electric universal pass which allows you to pay for your recharge regardless of the terminal used (in France). With the pass, recharging costs only 0.70 euro extra (in addition to the cost of recharging). You can also subscribe to a recharge + electronic toll pack for 2 euros per month. On the application, a customer area allows you to monitor your expenses and issue your invoices. This works with 30,000 terminals present in France, and allows you to geolocate the charging station closest to your position. In short, it is a simple and centralized solution to ensure electric travel with complete peace of mind!

Charging stations: where to charge your electric car in France?

With the rapid development of the electric car, charging stations are sprouting up everywhere in France. In order to find the closest station to you and the most suitable for your needs, several sites have geolocated all the dedicated infrastructures.
