NANTERRE/MEXICO CITY, August 1 (Reuters) – Vinci confirmed in a press release on Monday that it had signed an agreement to buy 29.99% of the Mexican airport group OMA (Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, editor’s note).

This operation, whose financial closure is “expected by the end of 2022”, will allow Vinci “to enrich its portfolio of 13 airports” and constitutes a “strategic position in a country with high potential growth,” the group said in a press release.

OMA had announced on Sunday that Vinci had reached an agreement worth almost 815 million dollars (around 800 million euros) with Fintech Advisory to buy its 29.9% stake in the Mexican airport concessionaire, in noting that the transaction was still subject to regulatory approvals.
