(CercleFinance.com) – Vinci announces that OTW, a joint venture created by Vinci Energies and Vinci Construction in the United Kingdom, has just been designated as one of the partner companies in the country’s electricity network upgrade program, ‘Great Grid Partnership’.
This program consists of carrying out a series of significant works to upgrade electricity transmission infrastructure (onshore) by 2030. It is part of a national plan totaling nine billion pounds.
In this context, OTW may be awarded design-build contracts aimed at connecting new offshore wind farms (50 GW) to the British electricity grid. Vinci will thus help limit the United Kingdom’s dependence on fossil fuels.
