Vinci: clear decline in traffic on its motorways in February, increase in airports

(AOF) – Vinci reports a clear drop in traffic on its motorways in February, disrupted by farmers’ blockages, at the start of the month on almost the entire network and at the end of the month on several sections in the southwest . Over one year, traffic fell by 2.1% in February and by 4.4% over two months. “The resulting decline in traffic was, however, able to be attenuated by various calendar effects, which were positive overall, particularly for heavy goods vehicles,” the group emphasizes.

Passenger traffic at the airports of the Vinci Airports network, however, recorded growth of 14.4% in February 2024 compared to February 2023. Beyond the positive effect linked to the leap year, the trends remain well oriented on all platforms. “Overall, the number of passengers in February 2024 exceeds its pre-health crisis level by more than 3%,” adds Vinci.
