Vinci: Cobra IS wins three contracts in Brazil


(CercleFinance.com) – Vinci announces that following an auction organized by the National Electric Energy Agency of Brazil (ANEEL) covering approximately 6,000 km of new electrical transmission lines divided into nine lots , its subsidiary CobraIS was awarded three lots via its own Brazilian subsidiaries.

The first lot involves a 500 kV electricity transmission line, 349 km long, and the extension of two existing substations in the state of Minas Gerais. The associated investment amount is around 150 million euros.

The other two lots, in design-construction, are valued at a total amount of approximately 570 million euros, on behalf of Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista (CTEEP).

One has a total length of 1092 km as well as three new substations in the states of Minas Gerais and Bahia, while the other has a length of 507 km, and includes a new substation in the states of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.

Vinci recalls that Cobra IS has to date built more than 32,000 km of electric lines over the last twenty years in Brazil.
