(CercleFinance.com) – Vinci Construction, through its earthworks subsidiary dedicated to major projects, announces that it will build the Springbank water reservoir, located 15 km west of Calgary, on behalf of the province Alberta Canadian.
This project will protect the residents of Calgary and the surrounding area by temporarily diverting and storing water from the Elbow River during floods to prevent flooding, such as that which occurred in 2013.
The work, the amount of which amounts to 379 million Canadian dollars (263 million euros), should last three years. The project strengthens Vinci’s local roots in Canada, where it generated 1.6 billion euros in revenue in 2021.
