Vinci passenger traffic grew 85.1% in the third quarter

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The construction and concessions group Vinci announced Thursday that passenger traffic at its various airports around the world had increased by 85.1% in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the third quarter of 2021.

Traffic at Vinci Airports airports, however, remained down 21.9% compared to the same period in 2019, before the start of the health crisis, the group said.

Vinci noted “strong traffic dynamics this summer in Europe, where operational disruptions were limited at the group’s airports, and at airports in Central America and the Caribbean where traffic now exceeds that of 2019.”

If the “growth in traffic is still limited in Asia”, Vinci estimates that it “could accelerate in the winter season with the gradual easing of restrictions in several countries”.
