Vinci reaffirms its 2024 objectives

(AOF) – In the first quarter, Vinci achieved a turnover of 15.7 billion euros, up 4.8%. It increased by 4.2% like-for-like. It was supported by concessions, whose revenues increased by 5.3% on a comparable basis to 2.35 billion euros. Cobra IS grew by 7.6% to 1.6 billion and Vinci by 3.8% to almost 7 billion euros. Vinci Energies shows growth of 3.8% to 4.61 billion euros. On the other hand, the activity of Vinci Immobilier fell by 16.1% to 248 million euros.

Order intake for the quarter from Vinci Energies, Cobra IS and Vinci Construction is up 19% to 18.5 billion euros. The order book as of March 31, 2024 thus reached a new record: 66.7 billion euros. An increase of 11% over one year and 9% since December 31, 2023, it represents nearly 14 months of average activity in the energy and construction branches.

The construction and concessions giant has confirmed its annual objectives. It plans a further increase in its turnover, but this should be of a lesser magnitude than that achieved in 2023. Results should also improve.

This trend is before taking into account the new tax on long-distance transport infrastructure decided by the French government, the amount of which is estimated at around 280 million euros.

Despite this negative impact, the net result in 2024 could be close to the level reached in 2023.
