Vinci shareholders renew Xavier Huillard’s term of office as director

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The shareholders of the construction and concessions group Vinci on Tuesday approved the renewal of Xavier Huillard as director, which will extend his term as CEO.

At the general meeting of the group, the shareholders approved the resolution which proposed to renew the term of office of the director for four years, until the general meeting of 2026.

Vinci had indicated in February that in the event of the green light from the shareholders for this renewal, it would extend Xavier Huillard in his functions as CEO.

However, a separation of functions will take place during this mandate. Xavier Huillard is 67 years old and the group’s bylaws provide for an age limit of 70 for the term of CEO and 75 for that of director.

The chairman of the appointments committee of Vinci’s board of directors, Yannick Assouad, indicated on Tuesday that the group was working on this future succession to the post of general manager.

“It is too early to talk about it but I can assure you that the pool of leaders of the Vinci group is important” due in particular to the governance of the group, she declared.
