(CercleFinance.com) – Vinci Concessions, via its subsidiary Vinci Highways, and Lineas, a company of which Mota-Engil is the main shareholder, announce the official exercise of their right of first refusal to acquire the 17.21% stake in Lusoponte previously owned by Atlanta.
This operation, for a total price of around 54 million euros, has received the green light from all the competent authorities, including the European Commission. Vinci Concessions and Lineas become joint owners of Lusoponte with 49.5% and 50.5% respectively.
Lusoponte holds the concession for the operation of the two bridges over the Tagus estuary in Lisbon (April 25 and Vasco da Gama bridges) until 2030 and any road bridges that may be built over the Tagus in the future.
