(CercleFinance.com) – Vinci will carry out the Penlink road project north of Auckland (New Zealand), a €305 million project including the country’s first extradosed bridge as well as a new 7km 2×2 lane fast road.
The New Zealand transport agency Waka Kotahi has awarded a design and construction contract for the project to HEB Construction – a subsidiary of VINCI Construction in New Zealand – in a consortium with Fulton Hogan, Aurecon and Tonkin + Taylor.
This infrastructure will constitute a major connection in the region, improving the safety and reliability of the mobility offer for users.
The design and construction methods used will reduce carbon emissions by up to 20% compared to a conventional design, assures Vinci.
The work should be completed in 2026.
