Vinci: wins a contract of around 255 ME in Sydney

(CercleFinance.com) – Seymour Whyte, the Australian subsidiary of Vinci Construction, is to build the central section of the new M12 motorway which will link the future Western Sydney International airport (Nancy-Bird Walton) to the Sydney conurbation motorway network. This new axis should see the circulation of more than 52,000 vehicles per day.

This contract, worth approximately 373 million Australian dollars (255 million euros), includes the construction of 7.5 km of 2×2 lanes, 11 bridges, cycle paths and footpaths, networks, transport systems (ITS) and green spaces.

Work is expected to start in mid-2022 and be completed by the end of 2025 before Western Sydney International Airport is scheduled to open in 2026.

Seymour Whyte is also carrying out the work on the ‘landside’ enclosure of the future airport, including the integration of the new M12 motorway and the connections to the airport’s metro stations.
