Virgilia Hess: “I will know if…”, the BFMTV journalist at a crucial moment in her fight against cancer

Suffering from breast cancer, Virgilia Hess had not given any news for a few weeks. This Tuesday, April 18, the BFMTV weather journalist came out of silence to take stock of her state of health.

She continues her fight. On February 15, Virgilia Hess announced sad news on her Instagram account. While was expecting her first childthe BFM TV weather reporter revealed that she suffered from breast cancer. “Summer 2022, 32 years old, I learned that I was going to be a mom for next spring, my life was going to change! This finally changed earlier than expected, a month ago, when I learned that I had HER2 positive breast cancer. A baby and cancer… I carried both life and disease. Two completely contradictory things“, she wrote in the caption of a photo on which we could discover brochures on pregnancy, but also on cancer.

A few weeks later, happiness still came knocking on the door of Virgilia Hess since the young woman gave birth to her baby, a little girl named Léna-Rose. “My sun baby. I hadn’t yet given you your life that you had already saved mine. You already bring me so much joy and strength!”she wrote in a post shared on Monday, March 20, 2023, before adding: “She knew how much I needed her by my side! In any case, she is doing very well and fills her mother with happiness.“.

Virgilia Hess: “The side effects are still a bit there”

Taken between her new role as a mother and her fight against the disease, Virgilia Hess had since been much more discreet. But this Tuesday, April 18, she finally broke the silence in an Instagram story to explain that she was going through a new important ordeal. “Hello everyone, (…) I’m sorry if I don’t answer everyone individually it’s just impossible with treatments and baby. So I’m making a little message here to tell you that last Tuesday’s chemo was less harsh than the previous one. I really think that acupuncture and magnetism really helped me,” she confided.

And to add: “At D+7, the side effects are still a bit there (nausea, headaches, fatigue) but overall it’s fine, nothing to do with the previous chemo. Today it’s been 3 months + a day since this cancer was diagnosed and I have an important exam this afternoon I will find out if the treatments are working for now I will keep you posted. Thank you all for your kindness”. Its subscribers now hope that their favorite weather presenter will soon announce great news for a bright future in the company of her little girl.
