Virginia college campus shooting kills three

A shooting on a campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville left three dead and two injured on Sunday, November 13.

The campus was cordoned off as helicopters and police searched for a man believed to be “armed and dangerous”, tweeted the office of emergency management of the university. The alleged shooter who has been identified, is a university student. Still at large, he is actively sought by the authorities.

“This is a traumatic incident for everyone in our community and we have canceled classes for today”commented Jim Ryan, the president of the university, in a press release. Psychological support will be offered to students, he said.

Four college students found dead in Idaho

At the same time, in the state of Idaho (Western), the police have announced that they are investigating a separate incident after the bodies of four students were discovered in a house in the city of Moscow, near the campus of the University of Idaho, apparently “victims of homicide”.

“It is with great sadness that I share with you the information the university was notified of today about the deaths of four University of Idaho students who lived off campus”said the president of this university, C. Scott Green, in a press release.
