Virginie Efira in love: rare appearance with her darling Niels Schneider during the Marrakech festival

Revealed to the general public thanks to her talents as an animator when she officiated on M6, where she notably presented the tele-hook Nouvelle Star, Virginie Efira then began a professional retraining, embarking on a career as an actress. Paris winner for the former presenter, who has become, in the space of a decade, one of the essential headliners of French cinema. From now on, it is as a guest that the actress goes to television sets, in order to ensure the promotion of its various feature films. In addition, Virginie Efira has also become a great regular at ceremonies dedicated to the 7th Art, and therefore the red carpets that go with it. Whether alone or accompanied by her darling Niels Schneider, the actress still attracts the lenses of photographers.

This was once again the case on Friday, November 11, 2022. That day, the couple of actors were present in Morocco for the opening of the 19th Marrakech Festival. Virginie Efira wore an elegant black velvet suit, the collar tied with a ribbon, as well as a hairstyle with her hair down. During her time on the red carpet, the actress notably had the opportunity to meet the actor Tahar Rahimhis acting partner in the film Don Juan, or even the director Rebecca Zlotowski, who staged it in her latest feature film, entitled Other people’s children, where she shared the poster with Roschdy Zem. As a reminder, this is not the first time that Virginie Efira and Niels Schneider have appeared side by side on the red carpets. They had already caused a sensation on the Croisette during the Cannes Film Festival 2019. At the time, they shared the movie poster Sybil. The actor had even come to the aid of his companion by tying the laces of his shoes which kept coming undone.

The Marrakech Festival returns for the first time since the start of the health crisis

The jury of the 19th Marrakech Festival will be chaired by filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino. This new edition of the annual event has paid a vibrant tribute to Indian actor Ranveer Singh, but also to American director James Gray, and Scottish actress Tilda Swinton. The latter had led the jury in 2018 and 2019 respectively. For its first post-health crisis edition, the Marrakech Festival brought together a wide range of guests to participate in its famous “conversations“. Among them, we can notably mention the filmmaker Asghar Farhaditwice Oscar winner (A separation in 2011 and The customer in 2016), or even Jim Jarmusch. For eight days, spectators will gather in emblematic places in the Moroccan capital, such as Jamaa El Fna Square, where films honoring science fiction will be screened outdoors. In parallel, the Marrakech Festival has been organizing since 2018 the “Atlas workshops“. This is a support program for young filmmakers from Africa and the Middle East with projects in development and films in post-production.
