Virtual Desktop: a good boost in PC VR for version 1.25.7, but not only!

Guy Godin, its emblematic creator, surprises us with each update and this time even more. Version 1.25.7 offers all PC gamers VR a noticeable performance boost in gamesbut not only.

Here is the list of updates:

  • Significant performance improvements with PC VR games (up to 20% depending on the game), thanks in particular to better parallelization of work on the GPU;
  • Reduced micro-stuttering (orange bars) with SteamVR games;
  • Added non-US keyboards (UK, Germany, France, Canada in French language);
  • Added support for DualShock 4 controllers and ability to choose emulated controller type;
  • Fixed latency when resuming a game session;
  • Fixed the frame rate of VR games when we don’t have the headset on our head or just when we are disconnected;
  • Fixed connectivity issue for Spectrum users;
  • X-Plane 11, Among Us, Vail, Ghosts of Tabor, Synth Riders (Rift store) games are now compatible with Virtual Desktop.

As usual, it should be noted that DV not compatible with all games. here is complete list. It should be specified that if until then we did not have to be connected to the internet to use the application, from now on, to work properly, the latter must have access to it to avoid abuse linked to piracy. In other words, for license validation purposes.
