Visual shock: Sebastian Stan has changed monstrously for his new film

The first photo of Sebastian Stan (Marvel’s Winter Soldier) in ‘A Different Man’ has been released. The actor is unrecognizable.

After Brendan Fraser in The Whale, it’s Sebastian Stan’s turn to transform for a role! The interpreter of the Soldier of Yesterday in the MCU revealed on his instagram account an early photo of his face in Aaron Schimberg’s film, A Different Man, and he is unrecognizable.

In the feature film, Sebastian Stan plays Edward, a man looking for a fresh start. After reconstructive facial surgery, he becomes fixated on a man playing his part in a theatrical production based on his former life.

In his post, the actor, recently seen in the series Pam & Tommy, praises the work of prosthetic makeup artist Mike Marino. We already owe him the transformation of Colin Farrell into a Penguin for the recent The Batman, that of Eddie Murphy in A Prince in New York 2 and that of Rose Leslie in the series The Time Traveler’s Wife.

The artist has also worked on Joker with Joaquin Phoenix, Jim Jarmusch’s film The Dead don’t die, the True Detective series, The Wrestler and Black Swan. Impressive transformations visible on his instagram account.

A different man is also carried by Renate Reinsve, the revelation of Julie (in 12 chapters) and Adam Pearson, an actor who suffers from neurofibromatosis, an autosomal disease from which the character played by Sebastian Stan in the film also suffers.

The theme of transformation is recurrent for the director to whom we already owe the film Chained for Life, already worn by Adam Pearson.

Produced by A24, the filming of the feature film began at the beginning of July in New York. No release date has yet been announced.
