Vivo X Fold+: a presentation of the new folding smartphone on September 26

Vivo entered the folding smartphone market last April with an attractive model, but which will never have crossed Chinese borders to land on our territory. To celebrate the end of the year, the company will unveil a second version of its product at a conference to be held on September 26.

This model could only be a small evolution of the original X Fold and not a real second iteration. According to the visuals shared by the brand, the X Fold + would benefit from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the latest high-end chip from the American founder. To accompany this power, the firm promises ultra-fast charging at 80 W. A nice improvement over the manufacturer’s first test, which offered charging at 66 W.

Where this new folder is likely to be interesting is at the level of the interface. Vivo seems to have fully thought of an experience in line with a smartphone with a folding screen. The company specifies that no less than 5,000 apps have been optimized for OriginOS Ocean, the interface specific to Vivo’s folding smartphones. Obviously, being a smartphone designed for the Chinese market, you won’t have to count on the presence of Android 12L to enjoy the most optimal experience, like on a Galaxy Z Fold 4, but you can count on Vivo to make using it more enjoyable.

We can hope that with this new variant, Vivo decides to release its product in other countries, in particular France, a market which is sorely lacking in players in this segment.
