Vladimir Putin justifies a “preventive” war against Ukraine

Sending his troops to Ukraine was therefore, according to Vladimir Putin, the answer “of a sovereign, strong and independent country”. Faced with what he considers to be threats from NATO, the Russian president believes that his country “preemptively repelled the attack”.
