Volition (Saints Row) leaves Deep Silver to join Gearbox Entertainment, but it doesn’t change anything

Embrace Group is so sprawling that it can afford to say the least original operations. The Swedish ogre has been buying up and absorbing a bunch of development and publishing studios for years, establishing itself as a must in Europe, and He just made a change to Volition.

The studio behind the Saints Row previously belonged to Deep Silverbut he will henceforth respond to Gearbox Entertainment. Two entities that belong to Embraceso it’s not going to change much, but according to the press release, Volition go now benefit from the tools of Gearboxparticularly in terms of management in the United States, to work on its next successful game. Embrace specifies that this is his first internal transfer, but probably not the last.

And speaking of success, Embrace announces that Saints Row (2022) is not one. The title launched this summer clearly fell short of expectations and divided fans. A critical failure, but not a commercial one, it sold well during the quarter. You can still find this Saints Row at €36.10 per Fnac.
