Volkswagen: Elli reaches 400,000 charging points in Europe


(CercleFinance.com) – Volkswagen (VW) announces that Elli, its electric charging brand, has reached a new milestone by reaching 400,000 charging points installed in Europe.

According to VW, Elli therefore now operates ‘the largest charging network in Europe’, with more than 800 suppliers in 27 countries.

“Over the past 18 months, the network has doubled in size with around 200,000 new charging points”, indicates VW, which specifies that Elli has notably signed agreements with the Swedish energy company Vattenfall and the Dutch fast-charging specialist Fastned. .

Elli added around 24,000 Vattenfall stations in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, as well as 1,000 High Power Charging (HPC) points operated by Fastned in the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, in Belgium, France and Switzerland.
